Basketball

Well we are on week 3 of our 5 weeks of basketball in a row. They have taken first the last 2 weeks, but they weren't the best wins. I guess the most important thing is that they won. They took first at the Desert Hoop Classic in Moses Lake last weekend and this weekend at the Lake Chelan Apple Classic. For the most part Levi has played good, he had a couple games that were rough, but they all do. He is pretty much a defensive player and doesn't score a lot, but does stop the other team from scoring. I haven't got any pictures of him playing so I took the pictures of him in his uniform and shooting shirt and pants. He thinks he is a big stud :) I have to say thank you to Darcy for the use of her stadium seat! Without that I would have a sore rear end! Boy I am getting old, those benches are sure hard. Just a little update to keep everyone in the loop.

Back to work...

Well after a lovely 6 weeks off from my hysterectomy, I went back to work last week. It was so awesome to be off for those 6 weeks with my family. I got the chance to be off during the kids 2 weeks school vacation and that was the best. We got to do a lot of stuff we haven't had time for the last couple years, like going to look at lights (even if the car broke down during that) and baking lots of goodies. Working Mommy's just don't have a lot of time to do extra time during the holidays. Seems like you do what you can just to make it thru them, but this year was different. I felt so relaxed and enjoyed every minute. Levi has had 3 tournaments so far. They played in Ellensburg (don't remember what they placed there), Yakima (they took 3rd) and the Wenatchee tourney (they took 2nd). He enjoys it so much and it is good for him. Like I said back to work last week and got a really nasty case of strep throat. It was so embarrassing to go back to work for 2 days and then miss the last 2 days of my first week. This week has been good though. The first couple days last week I was pretty sore during the middle of the day, but that could be my body couldn't handle being sick too. Get a little sore during the middle of the day but other then that I have healed really good from the surgery. I would really recommend it to any woman that has any sort of problems. It is an amazing feeling of freedom from pain. Well time to wrap it up, getting late.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to all! Hoping that 2010 might be a little bit better then 2009. 2009 wasn't the best year for us, but at least we always have each other! We had a very nice New Year celebration. Spent the evening with Mike, Patsy and the kids. We have spent New Years with the Craddocks for the last 4 years. It is so nice to have a tradition and great friends to spend the holiday with. We played a new game called solitaire frenzy. It was a lot of fun and was a frenzy. We ate snacks and the kids played the wii. I hope that everyone had as good a celebration as us and as wonderful friends to be with.

Christmas

Despite some negatives things happening, our Christmas was really good. Thankfully I have been off, because our car has broke down twice in the last 2 weeks. Even as much as it has all sucked, we had a great time together. It has been so nice to be here with the kids while they are off from their school break. We actually got time to make all kinds of Christmas goodies. Christmas Eve was really nice, but we did miss the Craddocks loads! It is so nice to get to spend the evening with our family. We started Christmas day opening presents and spending time with the kids then headed over to my parents. Christmas dinner was nice at my parents, but again we had missing people. We were very sad that Sean's Mom wasn't feeling good, so they didn't get to join us. Kim and Mike did come with the boys. I got out the old picture albums and shared them with Sean and Kim. Its always so much fun to look them over and get a good laugh out of our old clothes and hairdo's :) Can't believe that 2010 is already here! I remember the days that getting to even the year 2000 seemed like a big deal. Of course I also remember thinking how old 33 was, but boy I don't think that anymore. I am so glad that it snowed today, it makes New Years feel fresh and clean, like a new year should be.
